Understand the result
“Needs attention” highlights a response or indexing instruction to investigate. “Review” suggests an improvement that may depend on your page’s purpose. A private thank-you page, for example, may correctly use noindex.
How the check works
The report reads one public page’s initial HTML (up to 300 KB), response headers and its site’s robots.txt. It evaluates Googlebot crawl rules for the final page URL and builds an illustrative search preview from the page’s metadata. A server may respond differently to this checker than to Googlebot.
Mobile settings alone do not prove mobile usability. Test the page on a real phone as well.
For actual indexing, use Google Search Console’s URL Inspection. A passed check does not guarantee indexing or rankings.
